Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The second week of the NHL season is upon us already, and this week the Hawks face-off three time with all three of those game being against the Eastern Conference.

The Chicago Blackhawks played their first three games of the season against the Central Division, and they came out with a 1-2 record. There were some good things in each game including them scoring the opening goal in all three games.

Of course when you only score 2 goals in each of the first two games, you aren’t going to win very many contests, but they were able to get 5 goals at home Saturday night to secure their first win of the season.

Falling behind early in the division is a tough way to start the season, but it is incredibly early in the season. So this week the Chicago Blackhawks face three Eastern Conference foes starting with the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night.

On Friday night, the Chicago Blackhawks visit an old friend in Brandon Saad and the Columbus Blue Jackets.  This should be a pretty fun and high scoring affair.

Finally on Saturday, the Chicago Blackhawks face the newest prodigy in the NHL when the Toronto Blue Jays travel to Chicago, and the Blackhawks fans see Auston Matthews who scored 4 goals in his first NHL game.

This should be a fun week with a lot less defense, and a lot more goals scored in a week against some pretty soft defenses.
