Good Morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks play their first game of the week tonight as they host the Philadelphia Flyers at the United Center.

Well, Chicago fans and fans of the Chicago Blackhawks it’s going to be one of those nights again! For the third time this season already, the Chicago Blackhawks will be playing a game while the Chicago Cubs are trying to win and advance to their first World Series since 1945.

While not all Chicago Blackhawks fans are Chicago Cubs fans with a lot of them being White Sox fans, almost all Cubs fans are Blackhawks fans so the fan base understands what it takes to break a long drought of futility in the banner raising department.

Most people will be glued to their TV’s watching the Cubs tonight for good reason, I mean it is a playoff game while the Hawks are just playing their fourth game of the season.

The Chicago Blackhawks will be looking to build on their efforts from Saturday night when they put 5 pucks into the back of the net including 3 from Richard Panik.

Ryan Hartman didn’t skate yesterday, so although he’s listed as day to day, it doesn’t appear that he will be back in the lineup this week.  This is the only problem with carrying 8 defenseman, the offensive moves are very limited so Dennis Rasmussen will most likely be back in tonight.

I will be watching Nick Schmaltz who after a slow start has played well the last couple of games including his goal against the Predators.  His development is huge in my mind if the Hawks are going to be a solid team down the stretch this spring.
