"Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks lost another game on Friday night while only scoring two goals which seems to be a trend, but they have to move on quickly with the Toronto Maple Leafs heading to the United Center Saturday night."
The Chicago Blackhawks trend this season has been if they score 2 or less goal they lose, but if they score more than 2 goals they win.
Well if you look at the final score from last night you notice the Hawks scored only 2 goals so they lost.
There is a real problem on the Chicago Blackhawks and that’s the penalty kill which has absolutely no kill in it. There are plenty of stats out there, but I read one on Twitter that said the Hawks basically would have to go about 50 straight penalty kills to get back to average now.
They can’t stop anyone on the P.K. which really affects the team. They are letting in shots from the point with no one in front and they aren’t moving the body in front of Corey Crawford. They have to do one or the other, but when you don’t do either it’s a recipe for a lot of goals against.
The Blackhawks now get to see Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight, so will the Chicago Blackhawks be able to bounce back tonight in front of the home crowd.
