Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks head home, and I’m sure within the first minute of the broadcast on Tuesday night there will be a mention that the first game home after a long trip is the hardest game to win.
The Chicago Blackhawks are finally home after a long 7 game two week road trip thanks to the circus, and now they get to host the Florida Panthers tomorrow night at the United Center.
The one thing I can guarantee you will hear Pat Foley say that the most difficult game to win after a long road trip like the circus trip is the first game back in town. The Blackhawks the past few seasons have played well on the west coast then struggled coming home. This year wasn’t as strong of a trip as in the past, so with everything all out of whack who knows what you will get Tuesday night.
The strongest suit for the Chicago Blackhawks has to be whoever starts in between the pipes for the for the Hawks. Corey Crawford is having a sensational season while if you watched the game Saturday night Scott Darling is pretty good too in relief.
I still think that will end up being the kids that makes or breaks this season when push comes to shove. They look good some nights and other nights they look a step behind. This road trip should have given them some confidence especially the third period comeback in Vancouver. Those are the kind of performances we hope to see on the United Center ice starting tomorrow night.
