NHL Power Rankings: Eastern Conference Still Crowds Top 10
By George Clifford

No. 13: Edmonton Oilers
Previous: 10th
Season record: 12-10-2 (26 points)
They just fell from the Pacific Division lead Tuesday night, as the Edmonton Oilers have lost eight of their last 10 games. Nonetheless, powered by Connor McDavid’s league-leading 31 points, the Oilers are generating much-improved possession numbers and a plus-7 goal differential.
The Oilers’ penalty killing unit leads the Western Conference, and goalie Cam Talbot’s 11 wins are among the league’s leaders. If McDavid stays healthy, the Oilers have a great shot at making the playoffs.
