NHL Power Rankings: Eastern Conference Still Crowds Top 10
By George Clifford

No. 29: Buffalo Sabres
Previous: 25th
Season record: 8-9-5 (21 points)
Last in the Atlantic Division with 21 points, the Buffalo Sabres finally got some good news this week with the season debut of centerman Jack Eichel on Tuesday. He had been out 21 games with a severe ankle sprain.
Scoring a league-low 39 goals this season, the Sabres desperately miss the scoring punch of Eichel, whose 24 goals as a rookie led the team last year. Kyle Okposo and Sam Reinhart currently lead the team with a combined 12 goals and 27 points.
