NHL Power Rankings: Eastern Conference Still Crowds Top 10
By George Clifford

No. 28: Calgary Flames
Previous: 26th
Season record: 10-13-2 (22 points)
What is wrong with the Calgary Flames’ Brian Elliott? The brilliant goaltender who led the St. Louis Blues to the 2016 Western Conference finals has a record this season of 3-9-1 and a substandard .885 save percentage. With his superlative 35-save effort in the Flames’ 2-1 Black Friday victory over the Boston Bruins, Chad Johnson may be locking down the starting goaltender position.
Currently sixth place in the underperforming Pacific Division, the Flames have a dismal 3-7-0 record at home in the ScotiaBank Saddledome.
