#1 – Marcus Kruger

It may be cliché to say Marcus Kruger is the Rodney Dangerfield of the ‘Hawks, but it’s true: he just gets no respect! Kruger has long done such a good job on lower level roles such as niche faceoff and special-teams player, fans don’t realize how essential he is to the team’s success. Yet, while he may not be as tangible on the stat sheet, Kruger is the glue of the lower lines and if he were gone, the ‘Hawks would feel it right away.

This year however, Kruger is getting extra dose of disrespect as many Blackhawks fans are already writing him off as an inevitable casualty of the upcoming expansion draft for the Vegas Golden Knights.

Thus, if any player needs to make a bang on the ‘Hawks before the post season, it’s Marcus Kruger. Like Kero, a lower line forward like Kruger getting hot hands as April rolls around would be a boon for the Blackhawks come the playoffs.
