4. The Blackhawks Are “Pissed”

Much like the Blackhawks community felt after the final horn sounded closing out Game Two at the United Center, the Blackhawks players were not in good moods as they prepared to head south for Games Three and Four in Nashville. Speaking to reporters at the airport on Sunday before taking off, Brent Seabrook laid this little gem on us:

To quote Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars, “Good! Use your aggressive feeling. Let the hate flow through you.”

Chicago needs to channel this “pissed” feeling and use that on the ice to not just come out of the gates swinging in Game Three, but to not let their foot off the gas for the full 60-minutes. They must treat Game Three like a Game Seven and play like the Predators took their lunch money.

3. When It Rains, It Pours

Arguably the biggest headache for Chicago right now is the fact that they have yet to score a goal in this series. To lay it out, Rinne has two assists in the series and the Blackhawks have zero points.

What the Blackhawks need to do it get off to their best start of the series in Game Three, open up the scoring to get the monkey off their back, and then, like stated before, keep their foot on the gas and pressure the Predators from there on out. The Blackhawks have plenty of firepower on offense to get goals in bunches. Six players scored 20+ goals for Chicago this season, they know how to put the puck in the net, it’s just a matter of letting the floodgates open.
