Our Take:

This is an interesting prospect.  Kole Lind at 18 years old has put up some pretty impressive numbers in the WHL and has the size of an NHL pro.  Just take a look at his stats from last year, he was more than a point her game player and doesn’t mind throwing his body around.  As a matter of fact, most of his videos are of his highlights and fights.  The best comparison I can make is Corey Perry.  Perry is very productive and plays with an edge, forcing him into more physical altercations than his head coach would like.

If Lind can develop a solid two way game, he could potentially be a successor to Marian Hossa.  There are several other prospects in the Blackhawks system coming up with some size but don’t have the scoring touch like Lind does.  The video below shows Lind’s knack for being around the net and stuffing home some rebound goals.  They’re almost Zach Parise-esque.
