Under coach Joel Quenneville, the Chicago Blackhawks have a strong history in the Stanley Cup Playoffs’ second round

Just when you were finally getting over the Chicago Blackhawks being eliminated from the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs, I’m here to bring you back into the fold.

We’re going to be looking at the past today, however. Under coach Joel Quenneville, the Chicago Blackhawks have had an impressive amount of success in the playoffs’ second round. With a 2017 second-round series possibly ending Friday (if Nashville defeats St. Louis), there’s never a better time than the present to look back at how well Chicago has fared in second-round series.

The team’s record in such contests under Coach Q is a perfect 5-0. When not winning the Stanley Cup (2010, 2013, 2015), the team has been eliminated from the postseason in the first round (2011, 2012, 2016, 2017) or the conference final (2009, 2014).

With that said, let’s rank the five second-round series the Blackhawks have played in during their current run of playoff appearances.
