This week’s Chicago Blackhawks roundtable takes a look at the netminder position and some strange drama in the Stanley Cup Final

When Scott Darling was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes earlier this offseason, the Chicago Blackhawks suddenly had an obvious hole on the roster. Darling had served as the backup to Corey Crawford for at least parts of the last three seasons, filling in wonderfully when Crow was injured or struggling.

So what are the Blackhawks going to do about this space on their roster? That’s one question we’re looking at in this week’s Chicago Blackhawks roundtable. The other one is a bit more strange and silly, however.

If you’ve watched any of the Stanley Cup Final between the Nashville Predators and Pittsburgh Penguins, you might’ve heard about P.K. Subban’s funny “mouthwash” quote after Game 3. This somehow turned into an actual talking point about what Subban said to Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby after the Predators cut into the Penguins’ series lead.

Naturally, this led us at Blackhawk Up to wonder what Subban might’ve said to Crosby after the game. So we’ll tackle that in today’s roundtable, too. Let’s take a look at the questions:

Question 1: Would you like to see the Chicago Blackhawks stay in house or go to free agency/trading for their next backup goaltender and why?

Question 2: What do you think P.K. Subban really said to Sidney Crosby at the end of Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final?

Let’s see what our esteemed panel had to say about these questions.
