Grant Mismash, University of North Dakota

Position: Winger, shoots left

Size: 6’0″, 183lbs.

Hometown: Edina, Minnesota

My take:

Mismash is heading to the University of North Dakota to play on a Fighting Hawks team that has been very successful the last few years despite playing in a very hard NCHC division. Mismash has a reputation for playing a hard, gritty style that reaps benefits of going to hard areas on the ice. The Blackhawks have a couple guys who are willing to stand in front of the net, but nobody has taken pride in that duty since Andrew Shaw. Getting a guy who wants to battle with opposing defenseman in the crease could be the jolt the Blackhawks need for the future.
