Chicago Blackhawks Top 5 Steals In The Draft All-Time

4. Brandon Saad (2011 2nd round Pick 43)
The list is biggest steals, and this one for me is a no brainer! Brandon Saad was a first round talent that slid all the way into the middle of the 2nd round.
This is where the genius of Stan Bowman really exists! Bowman has a way of finding players in the draft that have been given a reason to get passed, and he snatches up talent along the way.
Saad had a slow start to his career with the Chicago Blackhawks, but he gained confidence year in and year out growing into possibly the most important offensive weapon on the ice at times during the 2015 Stanley Cup run. Saad scored 8 goals in the 2015 Stanley Cup playoffs.

When Stan Bowman traded away Saad after the 2015 Cup, it was a hard pill to swallow because it was thought that he would be one of the core players for years in a Chicago Blackhawks uniform.
