#3. Dominik Hasek (10th Round Pick 199)

Seeing this has to hurt a lot of Chicago Blackhawks fans!

Hasek barely saw the ice in Chicago, but when he did he was pretty good with a 10-4-1 record.  He was buried behind Eddie Belfour and Jimmy Waite though, and it was the fact that the Hawks had used a 1st round pick on Waite that probably made them choose Waite over a future Hall of Famer in Hasek.

He did see some time in net during the 1992 Stanley Cup Final sweep against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Hasek only went on to win 6 Vezina trophies and 2 Hart trophies as the NHL MVP with 2 Stanley Cups, while the Hawks struggled after they let Belfour go in 1997.

Hasek would have been the biggest steal ever if he had played with the Hawks his entire career, but instead he’s a Buffalo Sabres legend and Cup winner with the hated Detroit Red Wings. Nice Job Bill Wirtz!
