My Third Line- Patrick SharpNick SchmaltzRyan Hartman

Coach Q- Ryan HartmanNick SchmaltzTomas Jurco

Ok, this is where the line start getting different with the biggest switch between the two is where does Coach Q put Sharpie on the 2nd line or 3rd line.

My third line with a healthy Sharp could be a very annoying line for teams to face with Schmaltz and Sharp being able to handle the puck and score with Hartman being the enforcer out there. This line could become a very good forechecking line with the opposing coach having to play defense against it.

If Jurco is going to be on the team, and by the contract there is no question he’s going to be playing. His talents are best suited for a scoring line than a bottom line full of checkers.  As much as Jurco didn’t truly produce after coming over from the Detroit Red Wings at the trade deadline, he did start showing some signs of life which gives me a little bit of encouragement.

The key to both of these line is that Schmaltz continues to improve in all facets of the game. After coming back from a short stay in Rockford, he really showed his talents playing on the top line with Toews.  I felt like when Q started moving him around the lineup is when is game suffered towards the end of the year and in the playoffs.  So, one way or another I like for Coach Q to find a spot for him and stick with him in that spot whether it’s wing or center.

Who’s on your third line?
