7. Randovan Bondra, forward

As one of the tallest players at camp at 6-foot-5, it was pretty easy to notice Randovan Bondra. The Slovakian forward was very productive in Friday’s scrimmage, scoring a couple goals.

It’s hard to say whether he’ll make it to the NHL, but if he makes some significant strides defensively he could really help the ‘Hawks.  His wrist shot is very underrated, and his skating isn’t bad.

I just expected him to be a little more aggressive in the corners since he overpowers many of the smaller guys.  Bondra could be a really nice surprise come training camp.
