I’m not as quick on the downfall of the Rangers as my BU colleague was, but there’s no doubt that defense is still shaky in front of an aging Henrik Lundqvist. Kevin Shattenkirk is going to be asked to do more than let shots rip from the point. This team actually relying on Brendan Smith to be a key NHL defenseman is proof enough that things could go wrong fast here.
