Unlike the Avs, the Wings don’t even look good in the preseason. Jimmy Howard is their leading option right now and has a .912 save percentage against what I’d assume are a fair number of non-NHL players. While there are prospects/youngsters at forward to watch (Dylan Larkin, Anthony Mantha), the defense is made out of spit and prayers. And in front of bad goaltending, that just won’t do.
