Hey, the Devils are second in the league in preseason points! First-round pick Nico Hischier has been impressive already with seven points, so that’s positive. But I think this team has a ways to go before it’s truly competitive. Relying on guys like Mirco Mueller, Tim Erixon, Ben Lovejoy, John Moore, Brian Strait and Dalton Prout on defense in front of Cory Schneider, who had a bum 2016-17 year, just isn’t promising for the present.
