NHL Power Rankings: Vegas Playing For More Than Just Hockey

No. 11 – Detroit Red Wings
Previous: No. 30
The Wings are in process of a rebuild, but they haven’t looked that way after starting the season 4-2-0. They are getting some extra motivation from their fans in the new Little Caesar’s Arena. One has to wonder how much Henrik Zetterberg has left in the tank, but the timeless captain continues to produce even at 37 years old. The Red Wings have some nice pieces that will be up in the next couple years, including 2017 first-round pick Michael Rasmussen. The big playmaking centerman will be a difference-maker in a couple years, which may work out if they do lose Zetterberg to retirement.
