No. 9 – Calgary Flames

Previous: No. 13

The Flames’ addition of Jaromir Jagr may have been the signing on the offseason.  It baffles me that no NHL team was willing to give him a chance until just before the season started, but he’s everything the Flames needed and more.  Giving a role model for guys like Matthew Tkachuk, Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau is invaluable and should give them no excuse to not take a big step this year.  The additions of Mike Smith in goal and Travis Hamonic on defense make the team even stronger.  Piece by piece, this team is becoming a championship-caliber roster.
