No. 5 – Chicago Blackhawks

Previous: No. 7

Heading into this season, the Blackhawks’ roster was full on uncertainties.  The defense and forward groups had a lot of holes to fill, along with a big challenge the first couple weeks of the season playing tough opponents.  But so far the ‘Hawks have been strong.  Nine points in six games has been a solid start for the Blackhawks, with most of the credit going to goaltender Corey Crawford.  The ’Hawks are starting to find contributors in their bottom six, which will benefit them in the long run.  Getting the defense in a good groove will be the key to their long-term success.
