This week’s NHL power rankings see the Chicago Blackhawks stay in the top five while welcoming a Pacific Division foe to the top spot

The NHL power rankings are such a fickle beast, especially during the early portions of any season. There are always teams that will land high in the rankings, but that may not even make the postseason down the road.

Will that be the case for the likes of the Los Angeles Kings and Vegas Golden Knights, among others? That remains to be seen. But Blackhawk Up’s Matthew Morrow and Aaron Goldschmidt are on the case this week when it comes to ranking all 31 NHL teams.
