There is no need to panic here. The Ducks are fully capable of pulling it together late and making the playoffs.  And after making the conference final last year, had it not been for a red-hot Predators team, the Ducks would’ve been in the Stanley Cup.  Ryan Kesler’s injury is sidelining him until December, which really hurts the top six.  But on the bright side, Josh Manson and Brandon Montour are getting some great minutes on the back end.  This is a veteran team with a few young kids who can play, which is always the recipe for success in the NHL.
