There isn’t a lot of positive talk around the Chicago Blackhawks after last week’s games, and I’m sorry to say we’re not going to help with this week’s roundtable

There will always be athletes who come out of the gate ice cold to start a sports season. The Chicago Blackhawks have had a few such guys early in 2017-18.

While it seemed like the whole team was on fire after 10-1 and 5-1 wins over Pittsburgh and Columbus to open the season, those feelings have rapidly gone away. The team is now 5-5-2 and struggling to find consistency in many areas.

So today, we’re going to take a look at the most underwhelming forwards and defensemen for the Blackhawks thus far, as picked by the Blackhawk Up staff for this week’s Chicago Blackhawks roundtable. The official questions, though it’s pretty straightforward:

Question 1: Which Blackhawks forward has been most underwhelming so far this season, and why?

Question 2: Which Blackhawks defenseman has been most underwhelming so far this season, and why?

Let’s see what our esteemed panel of writers had to say.
