NHL Power Rankings: Chicago Blackhawks Tumble On Skid

22. Washington Capitals
Previous: No. 16
This is not the start Washington needed in a loaded Metropolitan Division. Three players (Alex Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov and Nicklas Backstrom) are scoring at better than a point-per-game pace thus far, but typically solid Braden Holtby has been entirely average in net. Holtby carries a .919/2.76 slashline through eight starts, and backup Philipp Grubauer (.876/4.08) has not been sufficient in Holtby’s steed.
