Henrik Lundqvist’s decline is for real, it appears. The King looks more like a pauper these days with a .900/3.11 mark, and Ondrej Pavalec (.887/3.64) is not providing adequate backup. It doesn’t help that New York’s defense is so-so at best, but Lundqvist has faced fewer than 29 shots per game, on average. So he isn’t exactly being peppered nightly.
