The Senators competed against the Colorado Avalanche in Stockholm in the 2017 SAP NHL Global Series and beat them twice in the two-game series. Erik Karlsson is currently on fire with 17 points (1G 16A) in his last 10 games.  Arguably favored to win the Norris Trophy for best defenseman in the league, Karlsson is showing why he should be considered.
