Eight spots is a pretty large jump in a week, huh? They’ve looked good of late, going 7-3-0 in their last 10, including a 6-2 rout of the Chicago Blackhawks. Alex Ovechkin is leading the league in goals, scoring seven per game. While they are currently in a playoff spot, they need to keep winning to have that honor. The common theme has been how tight the Metropolitan Division is, and the Capitals are another team falling victim to this.
