The Avs have won two straight, including a surprising result against Pittsburgh, but they just give up way too many goals. They’ve tallied 92 goals, more than the output of nine Western Conference teams, and they still have a negative goal differential. Semyon Varlamov can’t do it all (except against the Blackhawks).
