Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Let’s Get Wild

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks will be looking to win their 5th in a row tonight when they host the Minnesota Wild. 

The Chicago Blackhawks have won four straight games, but if the playoffs started today the Chicago Blackhawks would have one of the wild card spots while the Minnesota Wild would have the last remaining wild card spot.

These divisional games have been a struggle for most of the season so far, but on Thursday night the Hawks were able to seal the deal on a two point night against the Jets.

The key to beating the Minnesota Wild like any other team is to jump on them early.  The Hawks did a great job doing that the other night when the Blackhawks depth guys scored early in the first period, and then Patrick Kane came in and shut the door with a goal and an assist.

Getting teams to force the action is what helps lead to odd man breaks and more scoring chances along the way, and with the Hawks offense being hit or miss some nights getting an early lead is what they need on a nightly basis.

For as meh as the Chicago Blackhawks have played they are only 4 points out of 3rd place in the Central, but on the flip side they are only 5 points away from being in dead last in the Central.

There is no easy games, there are no easy points, and this season you can’t afford to take a night off or a breather if you expect to be in the Stanley Cup playoffs come April.
