27. Edmonton Oilers

Previous: No. 27

In their last 10 games, the Edmonton Oilers are 6-4-0.  A choice to represent the Western Conference in the Stanley Cup Final this year by some has turned into one of the league’s biggest surprises.  Now on the outside looking in, the Oilers need a strong second half to make a push for the playoffs.  And a record of 5-10-0 at home isn’t going to get you there.  With Connor McDavid’s $12.5M contract kicking in next year, the Oilers have to start producing or else they’ll find themselves financially handcuffed the next several years.  Hopefully McDavid and the Oilers aren’t hitting the links and playing video games come April.
