After winning six in a row, the Flyers had a three-game losing streak.  They did, however, end 2017 on a high note by beating the top team in the NHL in the Lightning.  Philly is just four points out of a wild-card spot, but it may still be a year out as a contender.  The Flyers’ production is top-heavy with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek scoring most of the points.  Bottom line is that their young guys are getting experience, and more are on the way.
