22. Carolina Hurricanes

Previous: No. 17

Carolina has lost its last two games, but still holds a 5-4-1 mark over its last 10 games. One impressive mark for the Canes is they’ve earned points in 14 of their 18 home games, posting 10 victories in that stretch.

21. Pittsburgh Penguins

Previous: No. 24

The Pens make a little jump after climbing back into an Eastern Conference wild-card spot behind a pair of consecutive wins. Pittsburgh needed six goals to outlast red-hot Boston most recently, but it helped them win two straight for the first time since the beginning of December.

20. Anaheim Ducks

Previous: No. 16

Anaheim is stealthily just one point out of a Western Conference wild-card spot. In the Ducks’ most recent game, a 3-2 loss to Calgary, captain Ryan Getzlaf played an obscene 24:53, including 4:46 on the powerplay. No other forward reached 20 minutes. Was Getzlaf being triple-shifted?
