Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Richard Panik was arrested in Scottsdale, Ariz., on April 8 for trespassing at a local nightclub

When it’s the offseason and there isn’t much Chicago Blackhawks news, stories like Richard Panik getting arrested tend to make the headlines.  Reported by ABC15 Arizona, Panik refused to leave the entrance of the nightclub Bevvy around 9 p.m. on April 8.  He was said to be intoxicated when he was contacted by officers.

The Arizona Coyotes made a statement Tuesday:

"“We are aware of the incident and are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation.  We will have no further comment at the present time.” – Arizona Coyotes Organization"

In other Blackhawks news, Patrick Sharp was a guest analyst on NBC Sports Network on Tuesday night with Liam McHugh and Mike Milbury.  He follows in the footsteps of other retired Blackhawks such as Brian Campbell and Adam Burish, who both have appeared on NBC Sports Chicago.

IceHogs/Fuel news

In an post by Mario Tirabassi of The-Rink.com, Tirabassi previews the upcoming series between the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs and Chicago Wolves.  Tuesday was media day, and the post features several live interviews, including with head coach Jeremy Colliton, GM Mark Bernard and several players.  Game 1 is Saturday at the All-State Arena in Rosemont starting at 7 p.m.

The ECHL’s Indy Fuel resume their playoff series with Toledo today and Thursday this week.  They are currently down two games to none in the series.
