5. Vinnie Hinostroza

Vinnie is a 24-year old winger born in Chicago, Illinois. Drafted by the Hawks back in 2012 in the sixth round, it’s been a long time coming for Hinostroza. Since he broke into the NHL in 2015-16, Vinnie has played in 106 games and totaled 39 points.

Last year was a break out year for Hinostroza. He put up 25 points on 7 goals and 18 assists. Though he’s found himself in various places up and down the Blackhawks lineup, Vinnie’s played a significant portion of time on the first line aside Jonathon Toews and Brandon Saad. To say his speed has played a significant part of his game would be an understatement.

4. Alex Debrincat

Alex Debrincat earned himself a spot on the Blackhawks roster last year coming straight from the OHL’s Erie Otters. In the OHL a year prior, he scored a whopping 127 points on 65 goals and 62 assists in only 65 games.

That’s a bit impressive.

To say Debrincat has a knack for scoring goals is an understatement. He led the team in goals last season with 28 and played a significant amount of time on the second line with Nick Schmaltz and Patrick Kane. Debrincat looks poised to have another outstanding season next year.
