In preparation for the upcoming season, here are 19 Chicago Blackhawks’ players and prospects to watch closely during the 2019-20 NHL season.

This offseason has been kind to the Chicago Blackhawks. They were able to address their biggest needs, which were defense and roster depth.

In addition to checking both of those boxes, Stan Bowman also did a good job of replenishing their organizational depth through the NHL Draft, trades, and a few free-agent signings.

While the defense struggled mightily and the penalty kill was historically bad, the offense and power play thrived last season.

A few players had breakout seasons in 2018-19, so it will be interesting to see whether or not they can build upon that success.

Also, it remains to be seen how well, and quickly, the new faces will mesh with the incumbent players.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the most important players for the upcoming NHL season. Since it will be the 2019 (and ’20) season, here are the top 19 Blackhawks players to follow in the 2019-20 NHL season.
