Aleksi Saarela
Last, but not least, is recently acquired Aleksi Saarela. Like with Fortin, it’s not the end of the line for Saarela yet neither.
Fortin has produced so well at the AHL level in the past that it seems his next stop should be the NHL.
He’ll have to prove himself to get that opportunity in Chicago, but it sure looks like he’s got the potential.
The 22-year-old scored 30 goals and accumulated 54 points in 69 games for the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL last season.

It will be interesting to see which of the previously mentioned Blackhawks’ prospects will seize the moment. We will know more in the next couple of weeks, as training camp and preseason games unfold.
