2011 – Mark McNeill and Phillip Danault

Phillip Danault actually could have been something with Chicago, if they didn’t go on and trade him to Montreal in 2016 for 2 meaningless depth players for their playoff run. Danault was traded for Dale Weise and Tomas Fleischmann. Neither were that great of pickups for the Blackhawks, as Joel Quenneville rarely played the two players.

Mark McNeill and Danault combined to play 33 games in a Blackhawks sweater. It goes without saying we won’t be seeing either of these two players in the Blackhawks’ Hall of Fame. Danault has gone on to have a solid career with the Montreal Canadiens.
