2015 and 2016

Shockingly, the Chicago Blackhawks’ decade of dominance only cost them two trips at the draft floor. Obviously, they gave up a slew of prospects along the way and some guys up on this list. However, it was not until the later years in Chicago’s Stanley Cup runs that they started buying heavily at the deadline.

I think most Blackhawks’ fans would agree in saying that they would rather have the 3rd Stanley Cup instead of some draft picks.
