Chicago Blackhawks Playing for a New Contract This Season

Alex DeBrincat
Alex DeBrincat will demand the most money out of all the Chicago Blackhawks players on expiring contracts.
DeBrincat has been one of the Blackhawks’ top goal scorers since he entered the league in 2017.
However, he is adamant that he will get a deal done with the Blackhawks. I believe if DeBrincat gets a bridge deal from the team, it will be anywhere from $5-6 million a year for 2-3 seasons. If he expects his payday to come now, expect DeBrincat to get paid $7 million or more per year.
DeBrincat can really be something for the Blackhawks. You could say he is on pace to be a legend. DeBrincat, a former second-round draft pick, might be one of the most talented goal scorers the Blackhawks have ever had, at just 5’7”.
We have talked a lot about the future Blackhawks’ core here at Blackhawk Up. Another piece to that potential core is DeBrincat’s linemate, who is also playing on an expiring contract.
