The Chicago Blackhawks have a significant amount of depth at the forward position in Rockford. This is a very good problem to have.

The wing depth in the Chicago Blackhawks’ system has diminished over the past few years.  The front office has been careless about managing their talent. Trading away young pieces and not getting value back on the roster.  This year, Stan Bowman replenished the talent pool. This series will be a season-long look at the forward depth currently in the Blackhawks’ system.

Forward Depth

The Rockford IceHogs now have more depth at the forward position on their roster.  When called up to the NHL, this young talent will inject a spark into the Chicago Blackhawks, and hopefully, reignite a flickering flame in the team’s veterans. A real youth movement certainly wouldn’t hurt the Blackhawks at this time.
