Chicago Blackhawks: The Rockford Files – Forwards

Anton Wedin
Anton Wedin, a 26-year-old rookie from the SHL, has gotten off to a great start with the Rockford IceHogs. Wedin already scored his first AHL goal and it was an absolute laser.

He has one goal and one assist for two points so far this season. Wedin was the talk of Blackhawk Up. Many of the Blackhawk Up staff and the Chicago Tribune believed that he did enough during the preseason to stay on with the Blackhawks. It’s still early in the IceHogs’ season, so these forwards are probably going to change.
The depth at the forward position is very deep within the Chicago Blackhawks’ system, so don’t be surprised if any of the previously mentioned players get their name called soon. Kirby Dach will likely be the first player called up sometime during the next few days as he finishes his conditioning assignment.
