Chicago Blackhawks GM, Stan Bowman, sits on the hot seat as the team continues to struggle.
Stan Bowman is one of the longest tenured general managers in the league, since coming into the role in July of 2009. While GMs rarely get fired mid-season, it could be useful to get a grasp on successors to the role in the event Bowman is on his way out. Whether it is this year or next, Bowman’s time in Chicago could be up relatively soon.
The Blackhawks were forced to play with 11 forwards in what ended up being a 4-0 shutout at home. With forwards Dylan Strome, Drake Caggiula, and Andrew Shaw out on injury, the team didn’t have the cap space to call up a forward to help fill one of these gaps. Predicaments like this could put Bowman on the hot seat.
Lets take a look at some potential replacements for Stan Bowman as Chicago Blackhawks’ GM.
