The Chicago Blackhawks got a big win last night against the Anaheim Ducks. Although this game should have been a win from the start, winning big six to two does not hurt my feelings.

The Chicago Blackhawks played relatively well last night on all fronts. Whether it was Patrick Kane setting up Dylan Strome, or Corey Crawford playing great in his own net, this team was on fire.

I went to last night’s game, and it awoke an inner Blackhawks fan longing for the playoffs, honestly, I thought last night was similar to a playoff atmosphere. A game against a conference rival with two points that are huge for their standing this game mattered for the Blackhawks.

I have to tip my hat to the Blackhawks fans. We could have all went back into our little caves and waited for this team to compete for next year or a few years down the line. I have enough great Blackhawks games from 2010, 2013, and 2015 in my DVR to last me till the next championship, but we are still showing up. Luckily for Blackhawks fans, the team showed up to play too last night.

Winning six to two gives us a lot to talk about. So let’s dive in with five thoughts following the Blackhawks win last night against the Anaheim Ducks.
