Chicago Blackhawks: 5 thoughts following win against Anaheim Ducks

Corey Crawford had a great outing to keep the Blackhawks in this game.
The Blackhawks went into the first intermission with only a one to zero lead. The biggest reason the Blackhawks won this game was Crawford and his big first period.
The Blackhawks are having no issue scoring goals right now, but keeping the puck out of their net has been an issue as of late. Crawford played great in that regard last night. He stopped 36 of 38 shots he faced last night. However, Crawford did have to leave the ice for concussion protocol.

Malcolm Subban did come in for Crawford during the third period following a tough drive to the net by Ryan Getzlaf. Subban came in and made one save before Crawford returned to the ice. I think the biggest thing Blackhawks fans are going to need to cope with now that Lehner is gone is that the Blackhawks have no security blanket in the instance of Crawford falling to an injury again.
Crawford is the Blackhawks goalie of the present and he will hold their starting net until a good prodigy comes to Chicago to take his position, now all we need is for him to stay healthy enough for the team to keep him in the net.
