4. Corey Crawford’s solid play

Besides giving up two goals in under a minute in the third period, Corey Crawford played great tonight. Crawford saved 21 of the 24 pucks that came his way. He also had a few highlight plays, one where he robbed Connor McDavid of a goal.

Ever since Crawford was given the role of the full-time starting goalie, the Blackhawks are undefeated. I don’t count the loss against the Blues because he wasn’t the starter yet. Since Robin Lehner has been traded, the team is 4-0-0. Crawford has his confidence back.

Of course, Crawford might not be playing tomorrow. If I’m Jeremy Colliton, give the guy some rest. If Malcolm Subban can’t beat the Red Wings, he can’t beat anyone. It doesn’t seem like the team has much confidence in him, to begin with though.

Crawford has earned some rest after a solid showing again tonight. If the Blackhawks want to be prepared for the Blues on Sunday, Crawford should get the night off.

Colliton makes bad decisions though. We’ll know during the morning skate.
