Teuvo Teravainen did it all with the Chicago Blackhawks in a relatively short period of time.

During Teravainen’s rookie season he helped bring the Blackhawks to their third Stanley Cup in six seasons. Teravainen played just 34 games in the regular season during the Chicago Blackhawks 2015 season, however, in the playoffs, he managed to skate in 18 of the Blackhawks playoff games and put up 4 goals and 6 assists in the playoffs.

The Blackhawks were poised to have a great winger throughout the next 10 seasons until they opted to trade him away as a sweetener for the Carolina Hurricanes to take Bryan Bickell. This was probably the worst move Stan Bowman has made as a GM, as just look at Teravainen’s career numbers at just the age of 25.

Teravainen has become a 60 or 70 point-getter in the NHL, and the Blackhawks traded him away at the age of 21. Oh, if you think there is ever any chance at a reunion between these two teams, just check out his contract in Carolina.

Teravainen is signed in Carolina until the end of the 2023-24 season at a contract of only 5.4 million. This left-wing would have made our left wings that much better. Imagine Teuvo, DeBrincat, and Saad all playing left-wing. Obviously, things might not have looked identical to now, but Teuvo would have been a great Blackhawks for life in my opinion.

I was rooting for him last year in the playoffs because I want to see ex-Blackhawks like him succeed, same with the next player on this list.
