Sheldon Brookbank

Sheldon Brookbank played in 25 regular-season games and one playoff game for the Blackhawks in 2013. You might have forgotten about him until he became one of Jeremy Colliton‘s assistants when he took over as head coach in late 2018.

Well, Brookbank does have a Stanley Cup ring with the Blackhawks. He played 74 games with the team spanning over two seasons where he scored three goals and had five assists for eight points.

He played in just one playoff game in 2013, as mentioned, but in 2014, he played in seven. That totals for eight playoff games with the Blackhawks and one Stanley Cup to show for it. I guess that’s not too bad.

After his two-year stint with the Blackhawks, Brookbank never played another NHL game again. He’d go play overseas and end up retiring in 2017 after finishing up his career in the AHL. He got into coaching and found himself back to the Blackhawks.
